OUR APPROACH TO HEALTH & SAFETY
We take a risk-based approach to assessing suppliers. We look at the culture and maturity of their EHS programs on a vigorous pass-or-fail score basis, identifying High-Risk Activities and work planning to create a zero-injury environment.
We have developed a set of lead and lag performance indicators to be maintained throughout development and operation.
Through a robust risk assessment matrix, we assess and develop mitigation measures to apply to projects before conducting work.
Safety sits at the center of our culture. Our safety program empowers team members to take control without fear of reprisal, reprimand, or blame.
We invite suppliers and partners from around the world to share learnings and insights on how to tackle major industry issues.
BEHAVIOR-BASED SAFETY
Our global EHS program is built on comprehensive safety practices. Its core components improve outcomes by locating root causes that lead to hazardous work and behaviors.
We anticipate potential incidents, create and implement prevention programs, then measure and evaluate to adjust on an ongoing basis across the data center lifecycle.
Design
From design to delivery we work with a third-party EHS firm to conduct audits, inspections, reporting, and risk assessments.
PROCUREMENT
We deploy our EHS pass/fail scorecard as well as conduct interviews to evaluate suppliers in each region.
EXECUTION
We operate with complete transparency, sharing insights and lessons learned across our global delivery team suppliers.
OPERATIONS
We closely measure how safety is being followed across operations and maintenance with our risk maturity model.
CONTRACT ACTIONS
To ensure EHS is always prioritized, we’ve developed a set of contractual obligations to be followed across the lifecycle of a project.
THIRD-PARTY OVERSIGHT
We deploy third-party oversight from a trusted safety provider to support onsite EHS programs and further mitigate risk.
