Ada Infrastructure: Manifesting a Mission in our Namesake
Last month announced the launch of Ada Infrastructure, a new company committed to building the sustainable future of digital infrastructure. Like our namesake, Ada Lovelace (1815 – 1852), considered the world’s first computer programmer, we believe in technology’s potential to benefit society, an idea she described as “poetical science.” In this spirit, we are committed to meeting the ever-growing capacity needs of the world’s most transformative companies, while making a positive impact on communities and the planet.
Data centers are at the crossroads of both our digital and physical lives, supporting the products and services we rely on as well as enabling discoveries that have the potential to benefit all of us. Upholding Ada’s legacy means we never forget the human aspect of technological advancement, the “poetical” part of “poetical science.”
At Ada Infrastructure, we believe in leaving the world better than we found it, and building a company that customers want to work with and employees want to work for, not just now, but for years to come. This also means investing in the communities in which we work and live – creating and fostering equitable access to economic and social opportunities.
We’re focused on enabling growth for some of the world’s most impactful companies, and doing so in a future-centric, sustainable fashion while aiming to shrink our carbon footprint. As a new name in the market with an assembled team of trusted experts from across the industry, we have the flexibility and firsthand experience to meet our customers' needs while establishing a higher standard for data centers holistically.
Our industry is at an inflection point. As climate change accelerates and the need for action grows, we must all become stakeholders in protecting both our planet and people. That is why we are committed to building responsibly and embedding sustainability, safety, and security into every decision. This includes collaborating with employees, and partners to improve workplace safety; identifying opportunities that enhance our communities; and contributing clean energy to the grid with our partners at GLP’s renewable energy business which already has an installed base of over 700 MW worldwide. We are also designing future ready data centers that can accommodate evolving technologies that enhance efficiency and performance while championing corporate governance and transparency by tracking and monitoring performance from construction and commissioning to day-to-day operations.
Ada Lovelace was once quoted saying, “Imagination should be especially cultivated by the truly scientific.” At Ada Infrastructure, we believe that our vision of a better future, unrivaled expertise, and plan to get there meets her criteria. And we’re collaborating with customers and partners to build something that is both repeatable and sustainable - a digital infrastructure provider designed from the ground up to think differently and equipped with the scale to deliver capacity around the world.
